We are also excited to let you know that the library will be moving to a new website in the coming weeks – but our web address is staying the same! While it may look different, you can still find all of the same great resources in one convenient place.
Breton Municipal Library is a member of Yellowhead Regional Library. With that membership comes the privilege of membership to The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC). Our participation in The Alberta Library gives our patrons access to 15 million items in over 230 Alberta libraries.
You may borrow books from any library in Alberta and return them to that or any other Alberta Library.
Breton Public Library welcomes all library patrons. Library cards are free for local residents due to the support of Brazeau County, the Village of Breton and Province of Alberta. Books and audio books are loaned for a three-week period. Music CDs, periodicals and audio-visual materials are loaned for seven days. High speed Internet access is available free to the general public at the Breton Municipal Library. A waiver must be signed after reading the Internet access policy and due to the content found on-line, children fourteen and under must have a parent sign for them. For the same reason, children eight and under must have a parent in attendance when they use the Internet. Patrons can also access high speed Internet with their own wireless capable laptops.
